Kaschan
Kaschan is a small town by the old
caravan route from Teheran past
Ghom-Kaschan-Ardakan and Kerman to
Pakistan and India. It is today, as it
was hundreds of years ago, the most
renowned trade town for quality
carpets, rugs and handicraft.
The Kaschan carpet is considered to be
the most splendid and the most famous.
Ardakan lies close by Kaschan. This
admirable Kaschan carpet demonstrates
abundance in a display of colour and
floral patterns. This carpet literally
shines quality and there can be no
mistake about its origin, that it is
hand made in Iran. Beautifully tightly
knotted with best quality wool. The
silk-lustre confirms the high quality.
The foundations are red or
blue.
