Persian
Kolyai
An above average quality carpet from
the well-known Khorassan province in
northeastern Iran. The city of Maschad
lies centrally in the province and is a
holy city with ancient carpet making
traditions. This Maschad carpet is
pretty as a picture, hand made in a
deep red colour and of great
distinction. Carpet-lovers become full
of enthusiasm over this carpet, which,
with its sombre shine and noble wool is
well worth its price.
Typical Nomad craftmanship, hand made
by the Kurds in the province of
Kermanshah in western Iran. This is a
stunning example of superb quality,
shown by the shiny mountain sheep wool.
Kolayi carpets are regarded as among
the most renowned handicrafts of
Persian national tradition.
